Description
The Naples Hotel usually opened in late January and closed in late April. Each year, between 50-80 guests stayed at the remote hotel, many returning every year to escape the “chilling blasts of winter.” The Naples Company steamer, Fearless, under the command of Capt. K.M. Large, made three trips a week from Naples to Punta Gorda transporting guests to the hotel.
